Which anonymous Instagram story viewers work in November 2026?

On 4 November 2026 we ran the same public account (@natgeo, 5 active stories) through 25 anonymous Instagram story viewers, in three rounds, and checked the working ones again with a second account (@outdoorresearch, 1 story). 14 of the 24 other sites showed stories without a login at least once, 3 showed them only partly (behind a sign-in, a "watch an ad" step or a captcha), 6 never showed a story in our runs, and 1 turned out not to be a story viewer at all. Twelve more domains that still turn up in older lists were dead, parked, redirected or unreachable.

On the second account, StoriesFly, StoriesIG.us, Insmask, Insnoop, Inviziogram and StoriesIG.cc showed the story; AnonyIG and StoriesIG.info showed a photo from the account's posts in its place, above an offer for a paid download app.

The sites that showed all 5 stories fastest were StoriesFly (our own tool, 1.3 s), Insnoop (1.1 s median after a slow first run), AnonyIG (1.5 s median), Insmask (2.6 s) and StoriesIG.info (2.9 s). StoriesFly shows no ads; among the others, the sites that loaded the fewest third-party domains while still working were StoriesIG.us (4), Insmask (5) and Insnoop (5). The heaviest pages were PVStory (45 third-party domains, no story in our runs) and Mollygram (38–41, stories only in the third round, after a browser check).

Disclosure: StoriesFly is our product. We ran it through the same steps as every other site, and we list below where others did better.

Every number here comes from one day of testing, one to three runs per site. Sites change weekly, so treat a result as "what we saw on 4 November 2026", not as a permanent verdict. The raw table is published as CSV.

Results at a glance

"Seconds" is the time from pressing Enter to the first story image on screen. Where we ran a site several times, the first (cold) run is shown, then the median. The second-account column is from round 3 (13:36–14:05 UTC): first run / second run. "Hosts" is the number of other domains the page loaded (ad networks, analytics, CDNs), counted from the browser's own list; it is a lower bound.

How we tested

  • Date and time: 4 November 2026: round 1 at 01:35–02:26 UTC, round 2 at 03:08–04:19 UTC, round 3 at 13:36–14:05 UTC (second account, sites that failed earlier). Our own site was re-checked as a logged-out guest at 13:16–13:18 UTC.
  • Test accounts: @natgeo, public, 268.2M followers, 5 active stories (4 photos and 1 video, posted 3 November between 11:18 and 23:05 UTC). Several of the tested sites listed the same 5 stories with matching ages, which is an independent check of that count. Second account in round 3: @outdoorresearch, 512.6K followers, 1 active video story posted at 00:53 UTC; five sites showed the same story with the same age.
  • Browser: a desktop Chrome window, no ad blocker, no login on any tested site, cookie banners declined, no captcha solved. Where a browser check (Cloudflare Turnstile) appeared, we waited and did not click it. Where Enter did nothing, round 3 also tried the site's own search button. Rounds 2 and 3 ran in a browser that was logged in to StoriesFly, which affects only StoriesFly's own numbers; that is why we also give a guest run.
  • What we measured: whether stories appeared, time from Enter to the first portrait story image, how many stories came back, whether downloads worked (one request per file where possible), third-party domains, pop-ups and redirects, and any login, ad or subscription gate.
  • What this test is not: one location (Serbia by IP), one account, one day. Ad loads change by country and session. Browser checks can be stricter on automated or repeated visits, so "the check did not clear in 30 seconds" is what we write, not "the site is down". Repeat runs are faster than the first, because both the site and the browser cache the same images.

What the test shows

Most failures were not broken sites, they were things put in front of the result. Of the 6 sites that never showed a story, PVStory stopped at a browser check, InstaPV and InstaStoriesViewer put an ad where the result should be, Picuki redirected away, PeekViewer was a sales funnel and Instapeep said access was paused. Four sites failed first and worked later: Story-Navigation and AnonStories cleared their browser check on their own in round 2; Mollygram showed stories in round 3 after clicking its View button instead of pressing Enter; StoriesIG.cc showed the second account's story after one "Try again". Dumpor gave no result in three automated rounds, but showed a story when a person solved its captcha.

"Free" was often paid for by ad networks. The working sites loaded between 3 and 15 third-party domains; the two heaviest pages (PVStory, Mollygram) loaded 38 to 45; PVStory never showed a story, Mollygram only on the third try. Pop-ups that open new tabs were seen on StoriesIG.info, including a casino ad page.

Private accounts: no site showed a private account's stories, and none can. Three sites still used the idea to sell: AnonyIG and StoriesIG.info show a "view private posts and accounts" upsell for a separate $11.99 app (Televzr) after the results (AnonyIG's own FAQ says public only), and PeekViewer's first step asks whether the account is "Open" or "Closed".

A second account changed the picture for two fast sites. With @outdoorresearch (1 story), AnonyIG and StoriesIG.info, which share one page template, showed a photo from the account's posts where the story should be, then the paid-app offer. On @natgeo both had shown the stories. One account is not enough to judge a viewer.

Every site, one by one

StoriesFly

Our tool, storiesfly.com/instagram-story-viewer. As a logged-out guest on 4 November at 13:16 UTC, @natgeo's first story appeared 1.25 s after Enter, with all current stories and highlights listed. Uncached lookups through the same page took 1.2 s (@nasa), 2.2 s (@bbcnews, 15 stories) and 11.1 s (@lonelyplanet). Earlier the same night: 1.3 s and 1.2 s in round 1, and a median of 2.0 s in round 2; with the second account in round 3, 0.6 s and 0.5 s (rounds 2 and 3 ran in a browser logged in to StoriesFly). A download click returned the original 238,809-byte JPEG. The page loaded 5 third-party domains (Telegram login, TON config, Cloudflare Insights, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics). StoriesFly shows no ads, on the free plan or on a paid one.

Where it is worse: the free plan is 10 story views a day without an account; more needs a plan ($4.99/month Basic). In one of five attempts, pressing Enter before the page had fully loaded reloaded the page with no result. Public accounts only. The same viewer runs in Telegram as @instanavy_bot, which sends the newest story straight into the chat.

AnonyIG

anonyig.com redirects to /en2/. No login; the first item appeared in 2.3 s on the first run, 1.5 s median over three. It returned 6 items for 5 existing stories, with a different photo/video split from the real set, and one item's URL was marked as 7 days old. Downloads worked. 13 third-party domains, including Google ad networks. After the results it shows "Want to view private posts and accounts too?" with an $11.99 subscription to a separate app; its FAQ says public accounts only. With the second account (round 3) the story did not appear: the only item under "Your content is ready" was a photo from the account's posts.

StoriesIG

At least four different sites use the StoriesIG name, and they behaved very differently. We wrote a separate breakdown: StoriesIG: four sites, one name.

  • storiesig.info (registered 2021): 5 of 5, 2.9 s median, downloads worked. Pop-ups: one ad tab on the first submit and two more on later submits (a casino page and a redirect), plus a fake "install SaveFrom.net Helper" overlay; two more ad tabs opened on their own in round 3. With the second account it showed a post photo instead of the story. 6–7 hosts.
  • storiesig.us (registered August 2026): 5 of 5, 4.5 s median, download worked (223,836-byte JPEG), 4 hosts, no ads. Second account: 1 of 1 in 5.0 s, then 1.8 s.
  • storiesig.com (registered 2017): 5 of 5 listed within 25 s, but images loaded only after closing two full-screen Google ads. 15 hosts.
  • storiesig.cc (registered July 2025): with @natgeo in round 1 the Stories tab said "Couldn't load this content", also after a retry. With the second account in round 3 it said "This is taking longer than expected" after about 24 s, and after one "Try again" the story appeared within 10 s. 4–5 hosts.

Insmask

insmask.com. 5 of 5 with exact ages, 6.3 s on the first run, 2.6 s median. 5 third-party domains and no ad networks: the cleanest competitor page in the test. Second account: 1 of 1 in 8.8 s, then 0.9 s, with the exact age. Download buttons were present; we did not fetch the files.

Insnoop

insnoop.com. 5 of 5 ("5 stories, last added 2 h 50 min ago"). The first run was slow (8.0 s; 7.6 s in round 1), repeats were about 1 s. Second account: 1 of 1 in 1.0 s and 0.9 s. Only Google domains (5). We clicked a download button and saw no file request, so downloads are unconfirmed.

Inviziogram

inviziogram.com. 5 of 5. The first run took 20.7 s, the next two 1.6 s and 1.4 s. Second account: 1 of 1 in 11.5 s, then 1.4 s. Also has highlights, followers and following tabs, and posts. 10 third-party domains, Google ads.

Insta-Stories

insta-stories.io redirects to /en/. Round 1: 5 of 5 in 11.2 s. Round 2: Enter did nothing twice and a full-screen Google ad appeared; after closing it and clicking "View Stories", 5 stories appeared in 3.1 s. 13 hosts. Media is served from anon-viewer.com hosts.

StoryNavigation

storynavigation.com. Round 2: the profile page loaded in about 7 s and all 5 story images loaded within 5 s of scrolling to them. Round 1 showed a full-screen Google ad. Also has highlights, posts, reels and tagged tabs. 15 hosts.

InstaNavigation

There is no single "InstaNavigation" any more. On 4 November 2026 instanavigation.com did not answer, instanavigation.io (registered June 2026) answered with a page titled "InstaNavigation", instanavigation.net redirected to insta-story.com, and instanav.com was a domain-for-sale page. The two similar names that work are StoryNavigation and Story-Navigation. In round 3 we ran @natgeo on instanavigation.io: Enter did nothing, and after clicking its View button a Cloudflare check cleared by itself and 5 story images appeared about 55 s after the click. 7 third-party domains, including Yandex Metrica. One run; we did not check those 5 against the stories live at that hour.

DolphinRadar

dolphinradar.com/anonymous-instagram-story-viewer. 5 stories loaded on the Stories tab; the first image appeared between 20 and 39 s after Enter (our timer had a gap, so not finer). A sample Taylor Swift card is shown before you search, labelled as an example. Cookie banner; "Log In/Sign Up" in the header; a "Download all" control. 11 hosts, including Microsoft Clarity. DolphinRadar's main product is follower tracking, which we did not test here.

AnonStories

anonstories.org. Round 1: a browser check that did not clear in 25 s. Round 2: it cleared on its own and the first stories were visible by about 20 s, 5 of 5, with "Download HD" buttons. The profile showed the follower and following counts swapped (195 followers, 268.2M following). 15 hosts.

Story-Navigation

story-navigation.com (registered November 2025, same page template as AnonStories). Round 1: stuck at a browser check after 25 s. Round 2: the check cleared on its own within 30 s and 5 of 5 stories appeared. Its page says "no cookies, no tracking" while loading Google ads and Yandex Metrica. 11 hosts.

Inflact

inflact.com/instagram-stories-viewer/ (the singular /instagram-story-viewer/ path is a 404). Thumbnails of all 5 stories in 3.1 s median without login, but opening a story or downloading asks you to sign in, and the free limit is 1 profile a day. Paid plans: a 7-day trial for $3, then $22 or $34 a month (pricing page, 4 November). Only 3 third-party hosts.

Imginn

imginn.com. The search first hit a Cloudflare check that cleared on its own after 1–2 minutes; the profile then loaded in about 5 s. Posts were visible, but the Stories tab opened a box saying that to keep access you need to "watch a short ad". 14 hosts.

Mollygram

mollygram.com. In rounds 1 and 2 no stories appeared: after pressing Enter the page stayed on "Loading" for over 100 s while a VDO.AI video ad played where the results should be. In round 3 (13:50 UTC) Enter again did nothing for 60 s; clicking the site's own View button brought up a Cloudflare check that cleared by itself, and within 80 s the natgeo profile with 5 story images was on screen. So it works, slowly, if you use the button. 38 to 41 third-party domains, the second-heaviest page in the test, including Criteo, PubMatic, OpenX and Yandex Metrica.

Dumpor

dumpor.io (smihub.com and greatfon.com redirect here). In round 1 a Cloudflare "Checking that you're a human" box appeared after submit and stayed for 60 s; in round 2 the page stayed on the home form for 30 s with the input emptied. In round 3 (13:46–13:50 UTC) Enter did nothing for 30 s; clicking Search opened a full-screen Google ad, and after closing it the form was back with nothing found; a second click did nothing for 34 s. No stories in any of the three automated rounds, where nobody solves a captcha. In a manual check the same afternoon, a person on our team searched @morgen_shtern: every search asked for a captcha and showed a full-screen ad, and after solving it the 1 active story appeared in about 30 s. Posts opened, and the following and followers lists showed 25 names each; the tagged-posts tab was listed, but tapping it said this is available in Telegram. The site says "$0 forever". 11–12 hosts. Dumpor's Telegram bot is covered in our Telegram bots test.

PVStory

pvstory.com. A Cloudflare check stayed on "checking" for over 30 s in two runs, with an empty profile skeleton behind it. 45 third-party domains, the heaviest page we measured (PubPower, PubMatic, DoubleClick and others).

InstaPV

instapv.io (round 1 only). Enter did nothing; clicking "Analyze Profile" opened a full-screen Google ad that stayed after one close attempt. No result in 60 s. 7 hosts. The page claims "18M+ profiles, 99.9% accuracy", which we could not check.

Instapeep

instapeep.com. After submit the site itself showed "Access is temporarily paused. Refresh the page and try again." 12 hosts.

InstaStoriesViewer

instastoriesviewer.com. Submit opened a Google rewarded ad and the tab stopped responding; we had to navigate away. No result.

Picuki

picuki.me. In three runs out of three, the tab left the site within about 10 s without any click, to unrelated ad and affiliate pages (four different domains). We never reached a search.

PeekViewer

peekviewer.com. Not a story viewer in practice: "Watch now", then a choice of "Open" or "Closed" account, a username form with a robot check, a "scanning 0%" bar, and after about 30 s "Failed to load profile preview" with a "View full profile" button (we did not click it). 13 hosts, including push-notification and ad trackers.

IGDetective

igdetective.com. Shows a profile card and a sample following list within about 8 s, then a "Get Started" sign-up for its activity tracker. It is not an anonymous story viewer, so we list it apart. 15 hosts, including the Facebook pixel.

Local favourites checked later

Some services rank high in search results in other languages but were not in our list. We ran four of them with @natgeo in a fourth round (14:34–14:41 UTC, 5 active stories). They are not counted in the 25 above.

  • storysaver.net (often recommended in Japan): Enter did nothing; after clicking its Download! button, a Cloudflare check cleared by itself and 5 of 5 stories appeared 56.5 s later. 11 third-party domains and heavy ads. One run.
  • igexport.com (story tool at /en/ig-story-download/): 4 of 5 stories, about 6.5 s after loading the result page, shown as small square thumbnails. 14 third-party domains, including Turnstile and reCAPTCHA; no ads seen.
  • storieanonimo.it (Italy): no result. Enter and its search button each sent a request, but the results area stayed empty for over 60 s. 15 third-party domains.
  • hikayeizleme.com.tr (Turkey): the address without "www" did not resolve; we did not run the www version.

Dead, parked and unreachable domains

Checked on 4 November 2026: followspy.ai (timed out), instanavigation.com (no answer), megastory.com and instanav.com (domain-for-sale pages), invizio.app (TLS error), storiesdown.com, iganony.com, iganony.io and glassagram.com (domain does not resolve), smihub.com and greatfon.com (redirect to dumpor.io), instanavigation.net (redirects to insta-story.com). If an article recommends one of these, it was written before they went.

Free with ads or one paid plan: what you actually pay

A free viewer is paid for by the visitor's attention and data: in this test, between 3 and 45 third-party domains per page, full-screen or rewarded ads on seven sites, new ad tabs on one, and a redirect to ad sites on another. That is a fair trade for some people, and several free sites (Insmask, StoriesIG.us, Insnoop) were clean and fast.

StoriesFly works the other way: stories, highlights and downloads are free within daily limits, and a plan ($4.99/month Basic, $19.99/month Pro) lifts the limits and adds the follower tracker and story alerts in Telegram, across Instagram and TikTok. There are no ads on StoriesFly, free or paid. If you only look at one story a week, a clean free site is enough; if you check the same accounts every day, a plan without ads is usually the calmer option. See plans.

FAQ

What is the best anonymous Instagram story viewer in 2026?

In our 4 November 2026 test, the sites that showed the stories of both test accounts without a login were StoriesFly (1.3 s for @natgeo), Insmask (2.6 s median), Insnoop (1.1 s median after a slow first run), StoriesIG.us (4.5 s median) and Inviziogram (1.6 s median after a 20.7 s first run). AnonyIG and StoriesIG.info were fast on @natgeo but showed a post photo instead of the story on the second account. StoriesFly has no ads; Insmask and StoriesIG.us loaded no ad networks.

Does Dumpor still work?

Yes, if you solve a captcha. On 4 November 2026 our three automated rounds, which solve no captchas, got no result: a Cloudflare check, an emptied form or a full-screen ad. In a manual check that afternoon a person solved the captcha and got the account's story in about 30 seconds, plus posts and 25 followers and followings; every search asked for a captcha and showed a full-screen ad. Smihub and Greatfon now redirect to dumpor.io.

Is Mollygram not working?

It is slow and the Enter key does not start the search. On 4 November 2026, after pressing Enter it stayed on "Loading" for over 100 seconds while a video ad played; after clicking its View button, a browser check cleared by itself and @natgeo's stories appeared within 80 seconds. The page loaded 38 to 41 third-party domains.

Can any viewer show stories from a private Instagram account?

No. A private account's stories are only sent to followers the owner has approved, so no website or bot can fetch them. Sites that ask whether the account is "Closed" or advertise private viewing are selling something else.

Will the person know I watched their story?

Not through these tools. A story viewer fetches the story through its own connection, so your Instagram account is not involved and your name cannot appear in the viewer list. StoriesFly works this way for every story it shows.

Which anonymous story viewer has no ads?

StoriesFly shows no ads at all. Among the other sites that worked in our test, Insmask and StoriesIG.us loaded no ad networks on the results page. StoriesFly also has a Telegram bot that sends the newest story into the chat.

Can I download Instagram stories with these sites?

Downloads worked on StoriesFly, AnonyIG, StoriesIG.info and StoriesIG.us in our test. Inflact asks you to sign in first. For saving reels and posts, see our reels downloader; for highlights, the highlights viewer.
