Tool — TikTok shadowban checker

TikTok shadowban checker: a reach score from 10 public videos.

StoriesFly's TikTok shadowban checker reads 10 recent public videos of an account, compares the plays of the first 5 (the newest, when the source gives upload dates) with the 5 after them and with the follower count, and weighs four signals into a heuristic score from 0 to 100. TikTok publishes no shadowban flag; it tells creators about posts kept out of the For You feed in their own post Analytics. No TikTok login is needed, and the score is worked out in your browser.

The 10-video floorThe tool asks the video route for exactly 10 videos, although the route would return up to 30. Every signal comes from these 10, so a fall in plays that began more than 10 videos ago sits in both windows and cannot show as a drop.

01Where an answer can come from

TikTok's notice is in your account, not on a public page

TikTok does not publish a shadowban flag for any account. What it does publish is a notice to the creator: when a post is ineligible for the For You feed, TikTok says the post won't be displayed there, and the reason and an Appeal button sit in that post's Analytics, which you can open once analytics is turned on in TikTok Studio.

So for your own account, look there first. This checker answers a different question, for any public account and without a login: have the account's recent plays fallen against its own earlier videos and its follower count?

02The four signals

Four signals, fixed weights

Each signal gets its own score from 0 to 100, where higher looks more like suppressed reach, and the final score is their weighted sum, rounded. Reach drop and plays per follower carry 65% of the weight between them.

Reach drop compares the average plays of the recent 5 with the older 5. Plays per follower divides the recent average by the follower count. A breakout is this tool's own proxy, a video whose plays reach 10 times the follower count, and losing the breakouts the older 5 had scores high. Likes per play scores high only when likes are strong while plays per follower is low.

The weights and every threshold are numbers written into the tool by hand. They were not fitted to a set of accounts known to be restricted; the tool has no such data.

What moves the score besides a restriction

A score describes reach, not a decision by TikTok. Plays fall when a topic cools, when an account stops posting for a while, or when one older video travelled unusually far, and the formula cannot tell any of those apart from a restriction.

Size alone moves it. Plays per follower scores 100 whenever the recent 5 average under 2% of the follower count, which for an account with 95.9 million followers means anything under about 1.9 million plays a video. TikTok's own account scored 46 on 28 September 2026, in the middle band, and 30 of those points came from that one signal.

Which source answered matters too. The first video source, urlebird, supplies upload dates and like counts. When it does not answer and TikTok's embed widget does, there are no dates, so pinned videos count as the newest, and every like count is 0, which fixes likes per play at 35. The @tiktok read above came back in that shape.

Two lookups on our server, then arithmetic in your browser.

  2. 02The profile is looked upA profile stored in the last 60 minutes answers; otherwise TikTok's profile page and three mirror sites are asked in turn. No profile, or a profile marked private, stops the check here.
  3. 0310 videos are requestedThe video route asks urlebird, then TikTok's embed widget, then ddtik, and returns the first list it gets; a source that keeps failing is tried last for 10 minutes. Fewer than 3 videos stops the check.
  4. 04Your browser does the arithmeticVideos with 0 plays are dropped, the rest are sorted newest first and split 5 and 5, and the four signals are scored and weighted into one number.
  5. 05The number lands in a bandUnder 30, 30 to 59, or 60 and over. From 30 up, the result also lists what to check inside TikTok.

Likes per play scores 80 when likes are at least 8% of plays while plays per follower is under 10%, 55 at 5% or more while plays per follower is under 15%, 35 when likes are under 2% of plays, and 10 otherwise. Videos with no likes are left out of that average.

Breakouts score 90 when two or more of the older 5 had one and none of the recent 5 did, 60 when one older video had one and no recent video did, 5 when any recent video had one, and 35 when neither window had any.

06Beyond its reach

What a reach score cannot know

The score sees play counts, like counts and a follower count. Everything else is out of its sight.

  • 01TikTok's decisionThere is no public shadowban flag. The notice that a post is ineligible for the For You feed sits in that post's Analytics, inside the creator's account, where no outside tool can read it.
  • 02Anything older than 10 videosA fall that began before the 10 videos read lands in both windows and cannot show as a drop. With fewer than 8 videos that have plays, the older window holds fewer than 3 and reach drop scores 0.
  • 03A causeNo strike, flagged sound or hashtag reaches the score, so it cannot say why plays moved, only that they did.
  • 04Private accountsA private account has no public videos to read. Two of the mirror sites that can answer the profile lookup, urlebird and countik, never report the private flag, so then the check stops at the video step instead.
  • 05Exact, dated counts every timeOne video source rounds counts to figures like 4.8M, and another returns no dates and no likes. The score uses whatever the answering source gave, and the follower count can be up to 60 minutes old, or 24 hours when every profile source fails.

TikTok shadowban questions

Can this tell me for certain whether I am shadowbanned on TikTok?

No. TikTok publishes no shadowban flag, so any outside check, this one included, can only read reach patterns. If one of your posts is ineligible for the For You feed, TikTok says so in that post's Analytics, with an option to appeal.

How do I check my own posts in the TikTok app?

Turn on analytics in TikTok Studio, then open a post's Analytics through More insights or the … button. A post that is ineligible for the For You feed has a notification there with the reason and an Appeal button, and Account check keeps a record of violations.

Which videos does the score use?

The 10 the video route returns, minus any with 0 plays. They are sorted by upload date when the source gives one and split into the newest 5 and the 5 before them; without dates the profile grid order is used, pinned videos first.

What do the three bands mean?

They are cut-offs in the tool's code, not probabilities. Under 30 means the weighted signals stayed low, 30 to 59 means some rose, and 60 or more means the weighted signals average at least 60.

Why does a very large account get a middle score?

Because plays per follower carries 30% of the weight and scores 100 below 2%. TikTok's own account, with 95.9 million followers, averaged 0.42% on 28 September 2026 and scored 46.

Does running the check affect the account?

No. It reads public pages without a TikTok login and changes nothing on the account, and the owner is not told.

Is the TikTok shadowban checker free?

Yes. There is no login and no daily count; the two lookups run on our server and the score is worked out in your browser.
