Tool — TikTok analytics

TikTok analytics for any public account: recent videos charted four ways, no TikTok login.

StoriesFly's TikTok analytics reads a public TikTok account's profile and recent videos from TikTok's own web pages and third-party viewer sites, up to 10 videos per lookup free (plan caps are 30 on Basic and 100 on Pro, but the first source holds about 20), then charts plays, likes, comments and shares four ways: per video, by UTC posting hour, ranked by plays, and older half against newer half. Watch time, traffic sources and audience data stay in the owner's TikTok Studio, so none of them appear here.

Where each plan stopsThe analytics route caps each lookup by plan: 10 videos without an account or on Free, 30 on Basic, 100 on Pro. The page sends your session with the request, so the cap is your plan's. The sources set a lower ceiling of their own: the first one tried serves a single page of about 20 posts, and the last one stops after three pages of 20, so the count above the charts is the number actually read.

01The four views

Every chart is arithmetic on the same videos

Nothing on the dashboard is estimated or modelled. The server adds up the public counts of the videos it received and sorts them, and the four tabs show the results: bars for engagement per video, a grid of average plays by UTC weekday and hour, the videos ranked by plays with a link to each one on tiktok.com, and the older half of the sample against the newer half.

The headline engagement figure is the average of the per-video rates. Every rate divides by the follower count the account has today, including for videos posted when it had fewer followers.

TikTok Studio and this page read different numbers

For an account you run, TikTok Studio shows the same per-video counts and the numbers this page cannot reach. This page is for accounts you do not run: a creator you are weighing up, a competitor, a client before they give you access.

What burst rate and the half split actually measure

Burst rate is the share of videos in each half whose plays reach at least twice the average plays of all the videos analysed. It marks outliers inside the sample and nothing more. TikTok does not publish where another account's plays come from, so no outside tool can say whether a burst came from the For You feed, from search or from a share.

Growth signals sort the videos by post date and split them at the midpoint, so 10 videos become 5 older against 5 newer, then compare average plays, engagement rate, posts per week and burst rate. When the older half reads 0 and the newer half does not, the change shows +100%.

Some sources send no post dates. The split then follows the order the profile lists its videos in, pinned posts first, posts per week reads 0, and the heatmap stays empty. The timeline says so above its bars when that happens.

04Fields by source

Which source filled which field

Videos come from the first of three sources that answers. The dashboard does not name it, but the gaps give it away: no dates and zero likes mean TikTok's embed page answered; shares at 0 on every video usually mean ddtik did. A source that failed on most of its last 10 calls is set aside for 10 minutes and tried last, so a later lookup usually, but not always, starts from urlebird again.

ddtik, tried last: rounded counts, no shares

No source has watch time, traffic sources or audience data. TikTok keeps those in the owner's TikTok Studio.

05One lookup

What happens between Analyze and the charts

Without an account, a connection gets 10 lookups an hour, counted together with the site's Instagram viewers. Signed in, lookups count against your account's daily allowance instead: 25 on Free, 500 on Basic, 5,000 on Pro, reset at 00:00 UTC.

  1. 01The handle is read from what you pasteA bare handle, an @handle or any tiktok.com/@ link works, including a video link. Short vm.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/t/ links are refused before anything is sent.
  2. 02The profile comes from cache or a live fetchA copy under an hour old is reused. Otherwise TikTok's own profile page is tried first, then three third-party viewer sites in turn. If all of them fail, a stored copy up to 24 hours old is used when one exists.
  3. 03The video list is fetched liveIt skips the cache and goes to urlebird, then TikTok's embed page, then ddtik. The first answer is used, up to your plan's cap: 10 videos without an account or on Free, 30 on Basic, 100 on Pro. A source that failed on most of its last 10 calls is tried last for 10 minutes.
  4. 04The server does the arithmeticAverages, the UTC grid, the ranking by plays and the half split are computed from those videos alone.
  5. 05Four tabs show the resultEach caption in Top by reach links to the video on tiktok.com, so any number can be checked against the post it came from.
06Outside the sample

What a sample of recent videos cannot tell you

The first item is this page's own limit. The rest are TikTok's boundaries or gaps in the sources.

  • 01More videos than the source holdsEach plan has a cap per lookup: 10 videos without an account or on Free, 30 on Basic, 100 on Pro. No plan reads past what the answering source holds: urlebird serves one page of about 20 posts and ddtik stops after three pages of 20. There is no back-catalogue and no follower history either: every lookup reads the video list fresh, and the follower count it divides by comes from a profile copy up to an hour old, or up to 24 hours old when every profile source fails.
  • 02Watch time, traffic sources and audienceTikTok shows these to the account owner in TikTok Studio, behind their login, so no source this tool reads has a field for them.
  • 03Complete numbers from every sourceWhen TikTok's embed page answers, there are no post dates and likes, comments and shares read 0. When ddtik answers, counts are rounded and shares always read 0, which lowers the engagement rate.
  • 04Private accountsTikTok does not show a private account's videos to people outside its followers, so there is nothing to chart. Depending on which source answers, you see a private-account notice or a general error.
  • 05Posting hours in your timezoneThe heatmap is in UTC. The best-time tool on this site reads the same kind of sample and shifts the hours to your own timezone.
  • 06Short linksvm.tiktok.com and tiktok.com/t/ links carry no handle, so the field refuses them. Open the link, then paste the profile address or the handle.
07Analytics, asked

Questions before you read the charts

Is this TikTok analytics tool free?

Yes. Without an account a connection gets 10 lookups an hour, and each lookup reads up to 10 videos. Signed in, the page sends your plan with the request: a lookup reads up to 10 videos on Free, 30 on Basic and 100 on Pro, against a daily allowance of 25, 500 and 5,000 lookups. Pro also gets an XLSX download of the videos read.

How many videos does one lookup read?

Up to 10 without an account or on the Free plan, 30 on Basic and 100 on Pro. The sources often hold fewer: urlebird, tried first, serves one page of about 20 posts, and ddtik stops after three pages of 20. The count above the charts is the number actually read.

How is the engagement rate calculated?

Likes plus comments plus shares of a video, divided by the account's current followers, times 100. The headline figure is the average over the videos analysed. When the ddtik source answers, shares read 0, so the rate comes out lower than the real one.

Why are all the bars at zero, or the heatmap empty?

Because TikTok's embed page answered. It gives plays but no post dates and no likes, comments or shares, so there is nothing to add up or place on the grid. The video list is never cached, so a retry usually tries the first source again, unless it failed often enough to be set aside for 10 minutes.

Does the account owner see that I looked?

No. The lookup is made without a TikTok account, so TikTok has no viewer to show in the owner's profile view history.

What does burst rate tell me?

How many videos in each half reached at least twice the average plays of the sample. It points to outliers. It cannot say where those plays came from, because TikTok does not publish traffic sources for other people's videos.

Can it analyse a private account?

No. TikTok does not show a private account's videos to people outside its followers, and this tool has no follower account to ask with.

Paste a public handle and chart its recent videos.

No TikTok login. Hours in UTC.
