Analyze a TikTok Account with ChatGPT or Claude
ChatGPT and Claude can't open TikTok on their own. Connect them to live public data to analyze any account: prompts, request counts, limits.

Can ChatGPT or Claude analyze a TikTok account?
On its own, no: neither ChatGPT nor Claude can open TikTok profiles. Their browsing tools can't reliably read a TikTok profile's videos and numbers, and their training data is months old. Connect StoriesFly and the assistant reads live public data (the profile, videos with views and likes, stories, followers, following and reposts) and analyzes it in the chat. One connection covers TikTok and Instagram.
Updated October 2026.
Below: how to connect, a worked example with the prompts and request counts, prompts to copy, and the honest limits.
Why the assistant needs a connector
Ask ChatGPT "how is @somecreator doing on TikTok?" without a connector and you get one of three answers: "I can't access TikTok," a guess from old training data, or a summary of a news article. None of them is the account as it is today.
A TikTok account changes fast. A creator can go from 3 posts a week to 2 a day, and one video can pull more views than the previous fifty. To say anything useful the assistant needs the current list of videos with their numbers, and it needs them as data, not as a picture.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is how you give it that. You add a connector once, and from then on the assistant calls it whenever your question is about a TikTok or Instagram account.
How to connect TikTok to ChatGPT or Claude
All steps are on the connect page. The short version:
- ChatGPT (Free plan included): Plugins → Add → Add custom MCP server. Paste
https://storiesfly.com/mcp, choose OAuth, press Connect, sign in with Telegram. - Claude: Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it StoriesFly, paste the same address, press Connect, sign in with Telegram.
- Claude Code and Cursor: same address; the command and the
mcp.jsonsnippet are on the connect page.
The first 100 requests are free, once per Telegram account. You never log in to TikTok with your own account, and your account never appears among a story's viewers. More about what the TikTok side covers is on the TikTok MCP page.
Worked example: a creator in your niche
Account name made up. In a new chat:
@zest.kitchen is a creator in our niche. How often does she post, which videos work best, and what does she repost?
The assistant usually calls:
| What it reads | Tool | Requests |
|---|---|---|
| Profile: followers, following, total likes, video count, verified | tiktok_user_profile | 1 |
| Latest videos with views, likes, comments, shares, dates | tiktok_user_videos (2 pages) | 2 |
| Videos she reposted | tiktok_user_reposts | 1 |
| Total | 4 |
A typical answer, with sample numbers:
- Followers: 312K, 1.9M total likes.
- Cadence: 5.2 videos a week over the last 30, no gap longer than four days.
- Median views: 41K per video.
- Top video: 1.2M views, a 14-second "3-ingredient lunch".
- Pattern: short videos that open on the finished dish get about three times the views of her longer ones.
- Reposts: mostly other food creators, which gives you a list of accounts to look at next.
Then follow up:
Which of her last 30 videos did more than 3× her median views? What do their first lines have in common?
That re-uses the data already in the chat, so it costs nothing extra unless the assistant decides it needs more pages.
The "outlier" check
The most useful TikTok question is not "what's popular" but "what did unusually well for this account". A video with 200K views is a hit for a creator whose median is 20K and a flop for one whose median is 800K.
Read the last 60 videos of @account. Work out the median views.
List every video above 3× the median, with its caption, length and date.
What do they share?About 4–6 requests, depending on how many videos fit on a page. Run it on three or four accounts in your niche and you have a list of formats that are working right now, with numbers behind it.
More prompts to copy
Quick check (1–2 requests):
Look up @account on TikTok: followers, total likes, video count,
and views on the latest 10 videos. Five lines max.Two accounts side by side (6–8 requests):
Compare @account_a and @account_b on TikTok over their last 30 videos:
posting rhythm, median views, median likes per view, top 3 videos each.
Put it in a table.Instagram vs TikTok for one creator (about 12 requests):
@creator posts on both Instagram and TikTok under the same name.
Compare the last 20 posts on each: which platform gets more views
per follower, and are the same videos doing well on both?Stories (1 request):
Does @account have TikTok stories up right now? Describe them. One video (1 request):
Here's a TikTok link: https://www.tiktok.com/@account/video/...
Give me its views, likes, comments, shares, length and caption. What it can and cannot see on TikTok
It can see, for public accounts: the profile with follower, following and like counts; videos newest first with views, likes, comments, shares and dates; stories up now; the followers and following lists, page by page; reposts; and a single video in full. If TikTok does not give an exact number, the tool returns nothing for it rather than a rounded guess.
It cannot see:
- Private accounts. The assistant says the account is private; that counts as one request.
- Hidden lists. Many TikTok accounts hide who they follow, or their followers. A hidden list comes back empty and marked as hidden. See TikTok following lists with AI for how often that happens and what you can still learn.
- Watch time, completion rate, traffic sources, audience demographics. These are in TikTok Analytics for the account owner only.
- For You page placement or ad spend. Nobody outside TikTok sees these.
- Sound and hashtag trend charts. StoriesFly reads accounts and videos. It does not track which sounds or hashtags are rising across TikTok. To follow trends, watch a set of accounts in your niche and look for outliers, as above.
Costs
| Plan | Requests | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 100, once per Telegram account | $0 |
| Basic | 100 a month | $4.99 a month |
| Pro | 500 a month | $19.99 a month |
| Prepaid balance | no monthly cap, pay per request | $1.50 per 1,000 at the entry price, from $10 |
A TikTok account check like the example above is about 4 requests; a full audit with 60 videos and a page of followers is about 8–10. Daily niche monitoring of many accounts is what the prepaid balance is for: no monthly cap, and the balance never expires. Prices and plans are on the MCP page.
When another tool fits better
- Your own account's watch time and audience. Use TikTok Studio or TikTok's official analytics; no outside tool sees these numbers.
- TikTok Shop sales data. That is a different kind of tool.
- Scheduling and posting. StoriesFly only reads public data.
- Many platforms at once (YouTube, X, Reddit). Some services in the MCP comparison cover more networks; StoriesFly covers Instagram and TikTok.
If you want to go deeper on competitors, see TikTok competitor analysis with AI. For Instagram, the same connection answers whether ChatGPT can analyze an Instagram profile. If you build your own tools, the same data is in the TikTok API.
FAQ
Can ChatGPT read TikTok without a plugin?
No. ChatGPT's browsing can't reliably read a TikTok account's videos and numbers, and what it remembers is out of date. It needs a connector such as an MCP server.
Does this work in the free ChatGPT?
Yes. Custom MCP servers can be added on ChatGPT's Free plan, and StoriesFly gives 100 free requests once per Telegram account.
How many requests does analyzing a TikTok account take?
A quick look is 1–2 requests (profile plus a page of videos). The example in this article, with reposts, is 4. A deeper audit of 60 videos plus a page of followers is around 8–10.
Can it see who a TikTok account follows?
Yes, when the account shows the list. Many accounts hide it; then the answer is empty and marked as hidden, and the assistant tells you.
Can it find trending TikTok sounds or hashtags?
No. StoriesFly reads accounts and videos, not trend charts. You can still spot what is working by checking the outlier videos of accounts in your niche.
Do I need a TikTok account?
No. You sign in to StoriesFly with Telegram. You never log in to TikTok with your own account, and your account never appears among a story's viewers.
Can it analyze private TikTok accounts?
No. Only public accounts.
