What StoriesFly is, and what it refuses to be

What StoriesFly is

StoriesFly is a web app and Telegram Mini App for viewing, downloading and monitoring public Instagram content without an Instagram account. You enter a public username, and the profile, stories, highlights, reels and posts open in a browser or inside Telegram. Nothing is installed, and no Instagram login is asked for at any point, because the service never signs in as you. Stories opened through StoriesFly are not marked as seen, so the account owner does not find you in the viewer list. Everything opened is archived for 30 days, which means a story stays available after the original has expired. The service launched in 2026 and its interface is available in 20 languages.

What it does

Three things sit at the centre of the product. Viewing: public stories, highlights, reels, posts and profile pictures, opened anonymously and downloadable in original quality. Tracking: a monitored public account is checked around the clock, and a notification arrives in Telegram when it follows or unfollows someone, posts a story, or changes its bio, avatar or username. Analytics: engagement rates, growth charts and AI-written summaries of what an account is actually doing. Around these sit 33 free single-purpose tools — an engagement calculator, a shadowban checker, hashtag, caption and bio generators, a best-time-to-post analyzer and a set of TikTok utilities. The free tier needs no account at all.

Public accounts only — on purpose

StoriesFly works with public Instagram accounts only, and this is a deliberate limit rather than a missing feature. A private account is private: its stories and posts are served by Instagram to approved followers and to nobody else, and no third-party service can retrieve them without either the owner's approval or a compromised account. Tools that advertise private-profile access cannot deliver it, and the ones that appear to work are usually collecting payment or credentials for nothing. We would rather say this plainly than imply otherwise and take the sale. The same applies to viewer lists and direct messages: if it is not public, StoriesFly does not have it and will not pretend to.

Who runs it

StoriesFly is built and run by an independent developer, not a company or an agency. There is no support team behind a ticket queue — questions reach the same person who writes the code. That is a limitation worth knowing about, and also the reason a bug reported in the morning is often fixed the same day. Support runs through Telegram and email, in English and Russian. Payments are handled by external providers, so card details never pass through StoriesFly's own systems. Pricing is shown in full before anything is charged, every plan can be cancelled, and the refund policy is written down rather than decided case by case.

For developers

There is a documented REST API. It exposes the same data the web app uses — profiles, stories, highlights, media, tracker activity, the shadowban checker and engagement analytics — over HTTPS with an X-Api-Key header. The specification is published as OpenAPI 3.0.3 and can be imported into any client that reads it. A free tier allows 25 requests a day without payment, which is enough to evaluate the API properly before committing to anything, and rate-limit state comes back in response headers on every call rather than being discovered by hitting a wall.

Languages

The interface is available in 20 languages: Arabic, Bengali, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. Translations cover the interface and the help texts; support itself is answered in English and Russian.

Contact

Questions, bug reports and refund requests all go to the same two places, and both reach a person rather than a queue.
