# Your ChatGPT or Claude can't see Instagram or TikTok. Connect StoriesFly and it can.

Ask it to vet an influencer, break down a competitor or find what works in your TikTok niche. It pulls live numbers from public accounts and gives you the analysis right in the chat. MCP is the standard way to plug a tool into an AI assistant. You paste one address, no code.

## Influencer check (example chat · sample numbers)

> Is @glow.with.ava a good fit for our skincare launch? Check engagement, how often she posts and whether the comments look real.

Tools called: `user_profile` (@glow.with.ava), `user_posts` (last 24 posts), `user_reels` (latest reels), `post_comments` (top 3 posts).

Here is what her public account shows right now:

| | Value | Note |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Followers | 48.2K | public, following 612 |
| Engagement rate | 3.4% | likes + comments ÷ followers, last 24 posts |
| Posting cadence | 4.1 / week | steady, no gaps over 6 days |
| Top post | 212K views | reel “5-step morning routine” |

Comment quality: most are real questions about products and skin type. About 6% are emoji-only or look automated, which is normal for this size.

**Verdict:** Good fit. Ask for story reach screenshots before you sign, and brief her on a reel, her strongest format.

## Same question, two different answers

> How is @competitor doing on Instagram this month?

### Without StoriesFly

I can't open Instagram, so I can't see @competitor's current followers, posts or engagement.

What I know about them may be months old. You could check the profile yourself and paste the numbers here.

### With StoriesFly

@competitor posted 14 times in the last 30 days, mostly reels. Engagement is 2.1%, down from 2.8% the month before.

Their best post is a giveaway reel with 3.4K comments. Without giveaways, comments per post fell by a third.

## What you can ask in the chat

Write the way you would to a colleague. The assistant picks what to fetch and does the math.

### Check an influencer before an ad deal (Instagram)

Engagement, posting rhythm, sudden jumps and comment quality, with a clear yes or no.

> Check @creator before we pay for a post: is engagement steady, any sudden jumps, do the comments look real?

### Break down a competitor (Instagram)

What they post, how often, and which posts work best for them.

> What did @competitor post in the last 90 days, and what do their top 5 posts have in common?

### Audit your own profile (Instagram)

Your best and worst posts, and what sets them apart from accounts like yours.

> Which of my posts did best in the last 90 days, and how are they different from @peer1 and @peer2?

### See what works in a TikTok niche (TikTok)

Which videos of your competitors take off, compared with their usual numbers.

> For these 10 TikTok accounts, show the videos from the last 30 days that got 5 times their usual views.

### See who an account followed recently (Instagram + TikTok)

The accounts a brand or creator follows on Instagram or TikTok: partners, hires, collabs in the making.

> Who has @brand started following lately? Group them into creators, brands and everyone else.

## Everything public, by username or link

These are the tools your assistant sees. It calls them on its own when your question needs them.

## Questions people ask

### What does MCP mean, in plain words?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way to plug a tool into an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude. You add StoriesFly's address once. After that, when your question is about an Instagram or TikTok account, the assistant asks StoriesFly for the live public data and works with it.

### What does the assistant see?

Only what the tools return: public profiles, posts, reels, stories, highlights, comments, likes, followers and following, hashtags and search on Instagram, and profiles, videos, stories, followers, following and reposts on TikTok. About you it learns only how many requests you have left.

### Can it read private accounts?

No. Only public accounts. When an account is private, the assistant tells you so; that look-up counts as one request.

### Is the account owner notified?

No. The person is not notified: you never log in to Instagram or TikTok with your own account, and your own account never appears among the story's viewers.

### What happens when I reach the limit?

The assistant tells you the requests are used up and gives you the options with links: Basic, Pro or adding balance. A call that was not made is not charged. If you have balance and paying from it is on (it is on by default), the assistant keeps going on your balance.

### Why do I sign in with Telegram?

StoriesFly accounts live in Telegram: the same sign-in as the website and the bot. It takes one tap, needs no password, and keeps the free requests to one set per person. StoriesFly never sees your Telegram messages.

### Can I use it without a subscription?

Yes. The 100 requests free need only a Telegram sign-in. After that, add prepaid balance from $10 and pay per request, with no subscription.

### Does it cover Instagram and TikTok both?

Yes. One connection covers both. Ask about an Instagram account and a TikTok account in the same chat, and the assistant compares them.

## Your first 100 requests are on us
